A Scottish late 19th Century Fior Di Pesco marble fireplace surround. A plain edged top shelf sits directly above a stepped frieze, flanked in turn by substantial jambs set with intermittent splayed capping insertions, further full length stepping to each side of the jambs, the whole resting on splayed capped foot block work.
