A generous top shelf with double bull nose moulding, a secondary convex under moulding all resting on a recessed and moulded centre frieze.
Flanked by, sturdy jambs with tapered recessed and moulded panels, above the well carved corner capitols showing acanthus leaves, this piece is supported on structural moulded foot blocks, with generous return sections.
We feel this piece would lend itself to a period room that perhaps has recessed door panels or window bay panels. We have many inserts or free standing fire baskets that would suit this piece.
