A large and attractive late 19th century Pine & Gesso fireplace surround complete with its original over mantel mirror. The triple bevelled mirror sits within separate frames featuring acanthus leaf decoration running along the top of the pediment, trailing bellflowers sit each side of the central mirror, supported by a large moulded shelf under which a frieze with a central raised and fielded panel, flanked by bolection shaped gesso work of acanthus leaves. The dog leg opening has an architrave of egg and dart resting on splayed foot blocks. English 1895.
