A Scottish 19th Century mid-Victorian Belgian black marble fireplace surround. A substantial masculine fireplace surround showing good quality marble colour with a few small scattered white fossils. A wide top shelf with a decorative moulded edge, below, an unadorned full width frieze with a chamfered bottom edge, all supported on substantial jambs with further chamfered edges. The whole in turn resting on chamfered foot blocks.
