A well proportioned Scottish 19th Century mid Victorian lightly veined marble fireplace surround.
A generous top shelf sits directly above an unadorned frieze, flanked by wide jambs with splayed and block separations at frieze level.
Generous return sections gives this piece good visual projection, each return has carved cock bead joins, this is a typical detail from this period and before. The corner capitols show a pair of Scottish high relief shield's.
The whole, all resting on splayed foot blocks.
Each leg width 205mm.
The internal fire opening size: 950mm high x 1090mm wide (as shown in the main photo) this opening width can be reduced in size with a maximum width of 1100mm available.
The brass fire grate available separately, and is not included.
