A 19th Century Georgian Manner lightly veined statuary marble fireplace surround of good proportions. A deep break-front top shelf with channelled under moulding sits directly above a connecting frieze with raised moulding forming a framed aperture, flanked by stepped jambs with further moulding to the fire opening. Generous return jamb sections the whole resting on plain foot blocks.
